NB. My blog issues re following seem to have been sorted out. If you wish to follow please use the follow by email directions near the comment section (not the RSS feed at the top of this page – that is not working.) My blog is also now showing up in blog readers again so can be added back there again. Sorry for all the problems. I will put this notice at the top of my next few posts as a a reminder.
Getting back to regular stitching and posting – hopefully. (Still had hiccups last week!)
I have continued on with my felt decorations from Marg Low. They are a delight to make with the wool felt.
I have made many of the different decorations over the years but have given most away. I thought it was time to make a few to keep.
Our LQS, Sewing Connection, celebrated its 30th birthday last weekend. The owners, Sue and Sandy, threw a birthday party for all their customers and it was a lovely evening. In the door prize give-aways I was very lucky to win a gorgeous Kaffe Fassett book. Thank you, ladies.
I am already lining up the quilt on the cover.
I have picked up my stitching again for All Creatures Great and Small from Natalie at The Birdhouse.
Photo are great because I have realised there are some eyes to finish.
The numbers are growing.
Not sure how I will put this one together, but at the speed I am working there will be plenty of time to make a decision.
Have a lovely week. Happy Fourth of July to My American family and friends.
Cheers, Karen
Lovely stitching Karen. All those animals are so cute. Lovely decorations too.
Your decorations are the cutest!! I hadn’t seen the latest Kaffe book, theyre always a treat. They are such cute stitcheries. I love the pretty colours you’ve used.
Love ALL your work… especially the xmas decos…xox
I have you in my favorites section on my blog, and you’re there! I try to look in on my favorites at least once a week.
Those little ornaments are adorable, as usual, but I like the shape of this one. Could be it gives a vintage feel to them.
Oh, the luck of winning Kaffe’s beautiful book! Now you have to collect the fabric. Be warned it’s a never-ending cycle: book, fabric, quilt, fabric, quilt, quilt, fabric, book, fabric, quilt…. you know you’re already sucked into the vortex, right! Lucky you!
hooray you showed up as you should on my blog roll!
lovely ornaments and your stitcheries are so perfect. Very cute.
I do like your new Moroccan inspired project. It’s gorgeous, can’t wait till you have some progress to show.
Hi Karen, glad the blog issues are resolving…. I find the blog an essential in my social life! Those decorations are very sweet – so often we give our makes away don’t we. Lovely book to win – always lovely to have inspiration and a reason to get new fabric (can’t let a book go to waste!). I love those stitcheries … they are all so sweet and beautifully sewn too…

That book looks fabulous Linda! I am looking forward to seeing the quilt you make! Of course, I love the felt Christmas decorations-I made the snowman from a kit last year. I guess at some stage you had kits for all these, and now you are using your own threads and felt? Of course it’s time to keep some for yourself!
Good morning my friend i was happy to see your post in my reader this morning, love your xmas decorations and Natalie’s designs are so cute, well done Karen and glad the computer issues are sorted.xx
Those ornaments are just beautiful Karen. Lovely stitching too. Its nice to have a slow project. Beautiful quilt on that cover xx
What cute little ornaments! I love the bunnies. While I’m nor normally a Kaffe fan, I do love the quilt on the cover of that book. Have fun making it.
