Snow People.

Thankfully we have no snow here, but it is possible, although very rare! My snow people are the woolly kind from a pattern by Bonnie Sullivan.

This photo is deceptive because the piece is quite large, 45 X 14 inches, but of course is very hard to show in a photo.
To show each of the snow people in detail, I have split the photo into three sections.

The wool has been a delight to work with, and I have used Sue Spargo perle threads for the stitching.
I had a starry fabric that I used for the backing, and a green with a fine stripe for the binding.

Included in the pattern was another smaller design with two snow people. I couldn’t resist making that one as well.

This one did include snow. I do like the rabbit and cardinal that appear in each design.
The only decision I have to make is do I want to put stars on top of any or all of the trees?
We have had a busy week so it has been good to have today at home. Time to adjust to the start of Daylight Saving here, as well as an interrupted sleep due to an earthquake at 2am the night before measuring 4.8. Not big by a lot of standards, but enough to be loud and give the house a good shake. This seems to be happening every 4 or 5 years, so not too frequent.
Enjoy your week. Cheers, Karen.

Snow people made me smile :)
Great little village! Apologies for not commenting, but honestly, your work is wonderful inspiration. I might peek in just to see what’s happening, but I tend to fall into this beautiful rabbit hole and can spend an afternoon!

Snow people are adorable. Gee that’s a bit scary at 2 am in the morning. No daylight saving here xx
How absolutely perfect they are! I love each and every one of them.
Those are the cutest snow people, Karen! The black background makes them really pop. Beautiful! I think it’s the first time I’ve heard of earthquake in Australia. Glad it wasn’t worse. There has been small earthquakes here too, mostly out in the sea.
How gorgeous are you snowy people! I love them. I saw there had been a quake there… my son said he slept through it all…

The woolly snow people are lovely, and the rabbit and cardinal in each design is a sweet touch. I’d say yes to the stars on the trees, even just a few. Hope you got some sleep after the earthquake and the clock change, Karen.
oh my goodness, this is way tooooo cute. Love it. The wools are so pretty.
I happened to be sitting on the couch, unable to sleep, when I felt the couch ‘moving’. Thought it was me then Hubby told me the next day there had been an earthquake! Holy Moley.
That is a merry looking bunch.
That is so nice Karen, a lovely design to stitch. I understand that earthquakes are not very common in Australia? We have had several earthquakes here in New Zealand lately, always a worry as we wait for the BIG ONE.
