Seeing Stars, Again.

Back to the UFO pile and some quilting! I was able to finish this quilt and complete the binding.
The fabric is from the range Countdown To Christmas by Sweetwater.
I wanted to make the star shape the negative space in this one so use the dots on a cream background.
Same fabric in the sashing.
The cream fabric went into the border as well.
I kept the quilting to straight lines. Tram tracks along the seams and then diagonal lines through the stars.
I haven’t done any quilting in the border as yet. I thought I would see how it sits and hangs after a bit of use. I can always add some quilting later.
I used a black with red stripe from the same range for the binding.
I happened to be in Spotlight after Christmas for their sale and picked up a perfect backing for the quilt.
The most pleasing part is that another UFO has become a completed quilt.
Winter has decided to arrive here with gusto. One day we are using the air con and the next we have the heating on. Brrr…. . And we had amazing thunderstorms and a lot of rain. The garden loved it. It looks like we will have to get used to that for a few months now so I will make the most of any sunny day we get for photos.
I hope you week is going well.
Cheers, Karen
Love the fabrics in this quilt. What a quilt to snuggle up in!
love these stars! gorgeous fabrics…
ps looks like your blog still isn’t updating on the blog roll, looks like some catching up needed by me
Such a fun quilt with lots of sparkle. Congratulations on finishing another one.
I really like this one, and the fabric line is perfect for it! Your geraniums look very happy, too.
I remember this quilt – I love it! Well done on the gorgeous finish and dealing with another ufo!
Hi Karen, wow this quilt is amazing,I love it ,the Xmas range is one of my favourite, well done my friend xx
What a great quilt! I love that the negative space is the stars. Clever to leave the quilting in the borders until another time if it needs it, sometimes it’s just good to say its finished. How luck to get the perfect backing fabric on sale.
well done with that UFO finish…. its just lovely. the stars are so striking…

Very striking and effective design and use of fabric. I will try and take some inspiration from you with my own UFO pile. Take care
Your stars are beautiful. I love your quilting too. Neat to find the perfect backing. We are cooler…yesterday 31 degrees lol!
What a lovely finish Karen! You can’t go past a star pattern, can you? I’m hoping there’s some warmth left for us yet; it’s too early for Winter just yet!
