Another top has turned into a a completed quilt. The last stitch has gone into the binding and it is ready.

The quilt is made of pinwheel blocks, each block using two fabrics.

The fabrics came as a charm pack with the addition of a single piece to use in the border.

There was even enough to make the corner stones.

I did have to add another fabric for the sashing so kept that neutral.

And I had to hunt up another stray piece for the binding.

I was able to stick to using my stash as I had a big colourful piece to use as the backing.

I kept the quilting basic – flowers and loops. That made sense as nearly all the fabrics had floral designs.

One bonus from the lockdowns we had last year was that I have been making the most of the fabrics I already have. I am trying to keep going with that approach. I know that there will be pieces to buy, but I am happy to try.

And not having a local quilt store any more does stop the temptation.

Time to move on to the next quilt!

Cheers, Karen
