A Colourful Finish.

My finishes have been few and far between lately. Same with posts. And now they will all probably arrive in a rush. That’s the way it often works.
I have completed my colourful, woolly flower quilt. Blocks together and binding done.

It has been a pleasure to work with the wool for this quilt. It is so soft and stitches easily.
The backing is a black and white print.

And the binding is a black and white text print.
Not lot of quilting was needed so I kept to simple meandering.

Cornerstones in wool.

After all that work I think it needs to be on display for a while so I need to find a wall.
I also managed to finish the final block for another quilt.

This will be the centre block. Hopefully these will be stitched together this week. And another one to be quilted.
We are getting into our colder days here now. We both managed to get our flu shots a couple of weeks ago, and after the recommended time period we are lining up our first Covid jab this week. Glad to have that one lined up. Plenty of other things to keep me busy this week including some sewing days and catching up with friends.
Hope your week is a good one.
Cheers, Karen
I love your little house Karen. Also the rabbit one in your last post (it wouldn’t let me leave a comment for some reason). The woolly flower quilt looks great.
I am finally catching up on my blog reading!! This is so sweet and colorful!! I recently started a small wall hanging with wool embroidery and I am struggling with it being boring!! I thought that I would love it, but not so much!! Congratulations on your finish!!
I love how the colorful wool looks against the black background! Have you found a spot to hang it up now?
Congratulations of a fabulous colorful finish . I love your wool flowers. Glad you have your first covid shot. I’m done with both and happily took a trip right after my last 28 day waiting period. It was such a treat.
Loving your woolly quilt, very colourful!
Your wooly quilt is amazing, so nice and colourful. I’ve never worked with wool applique, oh yes I have but it was machine applique.
I agree, Karen! This one definitely does need to be hung on a wall- it is very graphic and bright, a touch of Spring as we head into Winter. Good luck with the vaccine. I hope you are not affected adversely by it. My sister was quite ill for a couple of days.
Your woolly flower quilt is amazing.
I love it! This is such a happy colorful quilt. Everything about it is perfect!
OMG… that is simply GORGEOUS…
Love all the colours & the sashing suits it perfectly too.

Those colorful wools just pop with those black and white prints. It’s a real eyecatcher and your stitching is perfect. Glad you’re getting your vaccine.
