Starting a BOM.

I had seen several posts from people who were stitching Lynette Anderson’s mystery BOM, Fernhill. The first couple of blocks looked lovely so I decided to track it down and join in. Although 7 of the 9 blocks have already arrived, I am just finishing the first block which is the centre-piece.
As usual, I have not stayed with the colour scheme suggested. Instead I have used a range of variegated threads from several different makers.
Thankfully the next 4 blocks which border this one are a lot smaller and should, hopefully, be quicker.
Each block comes with a button. This one is a bird for the tree. I will not add that until the quilt is stitched.
I am ready for Block #2!
I love Lynette’s designs. This BOM looks like it will be lots of fun. Love how you did your block.
It’s always nice to add our own ‘take’ on things! Your stitchery is very sweet!
Lovely stitching…. should be wonderful.
How cute! I love the idea of the buttons too!
So Cute!!! I really like your use of coloured threads. You’ll have fun stitching these.
That is some gorgeous stitching, Karen! And I LIKE your color choices.
How pretty! You’ll be caught up in no time. Great choice of threads.
This is just adorable. You sure do some fun stitching!
your block looks lovely. It’s great to add our own tastes to things. the threads you have chosen look great.
Love Lynette’s stuff. Does this mean if you now have 7 out of the 9, it isn’t a “mystery” quilt anymore… LOL.
Hi Karen,
Lynette Anderson’s stitcheries are too cute, I love them. Block 1 is sweet, we’ll have to wait to see block 2! We won’t wait long I bet.
Cheers, Anita.
