Twisting Away.

I have managed a finish on my Twister quilt. It has a bright, summery feel about it and adds a bit of colour to the day.
The fabrics in the quilt are a combination of Going Coastal and Tidbits and Treasures.
Being such a busy quilt it really only needed outline quilting. I secured the blocks with stitch in the ditch and then simply stitched a half inch inside each shape.
I did straight line stitching in the border and completed the quilt with red binding.
And just to keep the seaside and Summer feel, the quilt has a crab backing.
This has definitely been a fun quilt to make and I am sure I will have to make another.
I love your Twister quilt! The colours are so bright and fresh, and the crab back was a brilliant idea.
Absolutely beautiful! I love the summer-ly touch and the crabs are just cute!
It is so cheery and beautiful!!!!
I love your twister and that red dotty fabric sets off the blocks so well! Great job.
I just love how this turned out! I like the fabrics and the quilting. Perfect! I want it to be summer in the US again…waaaaahhhh.
Beautiful, beautiful quilt. The colours are so eye catching. You’ve done the stitching so neatly, one day I might be able to be as good as you :0)
What a fun quilt! I love the Going Coastal line. Aren’t twister quilts fun to make?!
Yay! Love your Twister quilt! They are fun to make, such a clever twist. I’ve got one at the long arm quilters at the moment. The fabrics you’ve used really suit the pattern.
The colours are bright and cheery and I love your choice of backing!
What a nice quilt this is! I like the use of primary colors, and your quilt lines add to the charm ~
:-}pokey
Hi Karen…super cute quilt….love the fabrics, especially the red. I have the template in 2 sizes….and is on my “to do” list. Love the quilting….perfect choice. Enjoy your weekend. It is cold and raining here…not good weather for cleaning out the gardens for winter…maybe tomorrow I will get some yard work done and I’ll stick to quilting today….that’s my plan and I’m going to try to stick to it. hugs Pauline
Hi Karen, That is one wicked quilt girl. I love the colours and especially love the crab fabric too.
Cheers, Anita.
How darn cute is that!!! And the backing! BIG SMILE :-) :-)
Did you use a ruler or make your own template? I have seen some posts about making a template online. It’s pretty intriguing to me.
What a beautiful quilt Karen. It’s stunning.
Hello Karen,
So lovely and bright, you are indeed a lover of red.
Enjoy the weekend.

Great fabrics in your twister, Karen! Love the crab fabric for the backing. I think I should pull my unfinished twister out of the UFO pile and get it done! It’s very small and should have been done ages ago!
