Sunshine And Snow.

No sewing in this post! Totally holiday snaps.

We had a lovely family holiday at Edrom Lodge near Eden, on the south coast of NSW. Our extended family booked out the whole lodge and had a wonderful Christmas together.

The grounds were beautiful and we had a short walk over the lawn to reach the swimming beach.

A view of the side of the house.

And another of the front.

This is the view from the kitchen window of another beach to the side.

We were able to set up 4 trestle tables  for our Christmas meal. And this was only one of the side verandah. So much space!

Several yachts came in to anchor over night as it is an extremely well protected bay.

And this is the view from the front of the lodge.

I don’t think you could ever get tired of looking at that view.

As a comparison, this is the scene that greeted  our US family this morning.  One extreme to the other!

Best wishes to all for a safe, happy and healthy New Year!

Somehow I missed this post. WOW! What a beautiful place. No wonder you were so delighted at dipping your toesies into the water there! While I do love the cold, the below zero temps here are a little extreme right now. Wish I had been with you! :-)

  • Eden was once a favourite haunt of ours back when we lived in Sydney and were TAFE teachers – a really fabulous area. Take care.

WOW! What a lovely place for quality time with your family. The house and views are stunning. Indeed, a big contrast to the snow! I loved looking at the old photos of the place.
Wishing you and yours a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Lovely! And, what a contrast – we, of course, are looking at our window at the last scene you showed! It’s a bit chilly here right now near Philadelphia – LOL!
