A Very Loved Old Bear.

Posted on | January 27, 2011 | 8 Comments

It’s Teddy Bear day with Melody over at The House On The Side Of The Hill. Visit to see the other bears and check out the pattern Melody is sharing.

This is a truly well loved bear. My husband has had him since he was born, so this bear is 60 years old ( that’s lots older than me!).

I think it is wonderful to have items from our own childhood. It just shows how special they are.

Maybe this is something that can be done while sitting and cuddling a teddy bear.

I think it is amazing to have this cute bear after all these years and in such great condition , something to cherish.

OMG,…love the old teddy. I have a treasured teddy bear that just turned 61 years old. It belonged to my childhood BFF. It was given to her when she was born. She was an only child and passed away when she was only 15. We lived across the street from each other for many years and even after she passed. Her Mom gave me many treasured keepsakes when she downsized to a retirement home…..they thought of me as a daughter…as kids we were always together.

I love that teddy bear. When we moved to France I donated my big ted to a charity shop, I now wish I hadn’t. Still have my hubbys ted but he is only a little one……

I do think the old teddies are the best. Nothing can replace that worn loved look that comes from years of hugs. Thank you so much for being part of Teddy Bears Picnic today.

Lovely old bear, I sure like the way they sit up so straight.

Wow his bear is in way better condition than mine is. I still hold it dear to my heart though! The fond memories they bring! :-)
