Under The Sea.

An extremely easy finish for this quilt.
This one started as a bright and colourful panel that was purchased at a quilt show last year. I simply added the last blue batik border and then found lots of bright batiks to use in the piano keys around the outside.
I quilted the centre of the panel with wavy lines to hopefully look like water.
I then quilted loops, squiggles and fish in the borders.
I found a fabric for the backing that was the colors I was after. It is a Halloween theme but the colours worked so I used it.
It looks lovely on the bed with the sun shining in. Very cheerful.
It is Halloween and I know the neighbourhood children are getting ready to head out. They will have to dodge the showers this evening but I am sure they will still have fun.
Cheers, Karen
What a fun panel. The batik border is a perfect fit! Are you working on spoiling a grand??? :-)
Great job on the quilting motifs! I especially love your water.
I love it! It is just so bright, and happy and practically perfect in every way.
Very cute finish! We had only 4 little ones show up at our door–now I have to try to resist the leftover candy!
Super cute quilt, but the Octopus needs a santa hat!!!
A lovely quilt Karen…simple is effective…I really like what you did to it wiuth your borders and quilting! No Halloween out our way..8kms of dusty gravel road and only about 5 houses on it – it would be slim pickings for all that effort!!!
I love that happy panel and the quilting is perfect for it … but now I am singing “I’d like to be under the sea, in an octopus’s garden” … thank you – I guess I’ll have it the rest of the day now!!! haha

What a lovely, happy looking quilt. Is it for someone special or will you be keeping it?
Sew bright and cheery, and cute! Great job on the quilting. I really do feel as though I’m under the sea.
What a gorgeous quilt! I love how colourful it is and a great way to use a panel.
