Playing Catch-Up.

It is great to see another quilt from the pile finished. I am embarrassed to admit that this one has been sandwiched and pinned for at least two years. I know that having the pins in that long is not good for the quilt. At least I don’t feel guilty anymore now that it is finished.
This one was made from a selection of fabric bits and pieces. Not a lot of planning went into it until I realised I should have thought of the layout first. I had made it a bit tricky but in the end a way was found to put the blocks together.
I think the block is the disappearing 4 patch? But I am very happy to be corrected there.
I had this scissor fabric tucked away and this seemed suitable for the backing.
There was another fabric piece with just enough length for the binding.
Quilting was meandering with loops.
So there we go. Another one done and dusted.
Two more have been sandwiched and one more is waiting for me to cut out a backing.
Progress is being made.
Cheers, Karen
What a fun quilt and a scrap buster too. My favorite kind! I have so many UFO’s hovering around here. I need to get busy on them myself.
Super cute finish!!! Now your basting pins are free for use on other quilt tops. Love your photo shoot, too!
what a beautiful finish!
the red and blue is so pretty. Love it.
backing and binding are winners too
well done!
It’s great that we will be released a little bit. Hang in there.
Done and dusted. Yay! Love the scrapiness of the quilt and casual feel of the quilting. Your quilt is super sweet
Very pretty, it’s always nice to get a UFO off the pile.
Great job!
Lovely finish, it looks great… Yes that block is what I know as Disappearing 4 patch …. perfectly finished…

So many pretty things you’ve done lately. I had a lot of catching up to do with you. Love this quilt, and the koalas and podlets are perfect! What a lot of work you did on the fairy doll and her “hair”, too! Great jobs all around!
A lovely quilt, so crisp & fresh! And it must feel very satisfying to get it finished.
Lovely quilt. It looks a bit like stained glass hanging there. Hugs, xx
It always feels good to have a finish but especially when a project has been “hanging” around for awhile. Great job on it too…xox
