Mystery Quilt Day.

Earlier this week I attended a mystery quilt day. Lovely setting and very well organised. Great teacher.
We had a cutting list prior to the day and arrived organised and ready to go. It was broken into 5 blocks.
There were nine blocks in the centre. We started with the 4 Birds in the Air blocks, then the centre Snail’s Trail. We then completed the border blocks and the corners, too. Of course the reveal came with the cat blocks.
This can now be used as a centre for a large quilt or as a lap quilt. I am thinking of adding a border or two to make it a lap quilt.
My fabrics are Califon by Mark Lipinski. I am pleased with how the fabrics and colour worked out. I definitely plan to do another one of these days. Thanks Cheryl and Sue.
One of the few snails block quilts I’ve seen that I really like. Very striking.
How cute is that! I love mystery quilts, but picking out the fabrics is so hard. Your choices are great.
Hello Karen,
OOh I just love it, especially the cats.
Good luck with the finishing.
Happy days.

This is really cute! I loved that Califon line. I still have a little bit left in my stash. I made 14 placemats out of the black and white colorway once. Still love them!
