Garden Maze.

This has been a very interesting quilt to make. None of it was hard as it was all straight sewing with squares and rectangles.
What I did find interesting was that the pattern of interlinking squares didn’t become apparent until right at the end when the rows were sewn together. So even though I knew what it was going to be, it still wasn’t obvious until the end.
I still have to complete the borders -lots of squares and rectangles again but only in the blue and black. I will wait to see how that looks.
The pattern for the quilt is called Country Garden Maze and it was in an early copy of Irish Quilt and Craft Magazine.
I love those patterns that you just can’t seem to wrap your mind around how it will turn out till the end. I guess it would be on the same line of reading a great mystery novel. What a fun quilt!
A beautiful quilt Karen, the Irish know how to confuse you right to the end!!!
Happy days.

Love the quilt. Saw the same pattern done using white where you have used turquoise and similar bold prints and it was stunning too.
Just made my “really really want it” list bigger.
What a striking quilt! It is just beautiful.
Wow what an interesting looking quilt, I love the bold colours in it, I am so not brave where colour are concerned.
Wow! That looks really neat!
REally effective isn’t it… each time I look I see a different shape happening…
