Your quilt is so beautiful! And I love seeing the process you went through to create it. Great post!

  • Really enjoyed your post about your red and white quilt. It turned out beautifully. And I like the way you solve the “using the wrong fabric” issue. Good for you. I joined your blog and will be reading your post from now on. Keep up the good work.

  • Karen S. says:

I love the quilt and really enjoyed your post over at Sew We Quilt! Thank you for sharing.

  • LJ says:

Karen, I loved your “red” quilt that you shared with me/us at SEW WE QUILT. I love it! Your process was amazing. I usually think one must have the whole quilt mapped out before starting and you have given me a new way to think about designing. I wonder how you managed the task of having “enough” of all the fabrics you needed for the quilt.

  • I really enjoyed seeing the process for making your quilt. I have been afraid to venture out and make something not using a pattern. I am still a little shaky on the math but your quilt is giving me the courage to try a design on my own. I have Quilt Pro 5 for my mac. This may make the design process easier for me.

I think it is a red and white year with the exhibition they had in NY. I made my grand-daughter at red white and Black OLVIA the Pig quilt a few years ago for her birthday. I made a medallion quilt with Jennifer Chiaverini’s pattern, a Mariner’s Compass in the center and done as a Round Robin with a Yahoo group last year. It is one of my quilts waiting for Quilting. You quilt just sings laying on the bed with the sunshine streaming in.
