A Busy Week.

November has arrived with a rush. Lots of busy things to do when the weather warms up here. We are starting to have a taste of the Summer to come.
Some time has been set aside for sewing in amongst all the other goings on.
Block 2 of Lynette Anderson’s Fernhill has been completed. Here it is without its little decorative button.
I have also completed the quilting and binding on the Aussie red work quilt.
I am really pleased with the way this has turned out and once again want to thank Pauline for her gorgeous embroideries.
Here’s the back and the binding.
My plan for the weekend to have at least a little time to look through more of the entries in the Blogger’s Quilt Festival.
Then of course we have a holiday on Monday for the Melbourne Cup!! I will have to choose a horse to back!
Your embroidery is very sweet! Did you back a winner?
wow, that redword quilt is amazing!! What a lot of work with all that stitching!
Oh, Karen, what a beautiful little stitchery! Love the little hedgehog, and the redwork quilt is gorgeous! You do some beautiful work!

I sure do hope your not backing the horse with quilt fabric!!! hahahahahaha
Sad joke, I know!
Your embroideries are wonderful. I love the little hedge hog in the top one. The quilt you have just finished is a great tribute to your Aussie roots! What a treasure.
Loooove the stitcheries! It is so nice to incorporate stitcheries in a quilt. Think I’ll have to work more on that. We spent 5 hours in the garden yesterday – indeed it was needed! :)
Wonderful weekend to you and yours!
Love your red and white quilt Karen and your little stitchery. I can’t believe it’s November already, I am feel like I am meeting myself going backwards! I have nearly finished my Christmas presents thank goodness, and I think this year the cards will have to be bought ones! Hugs x
