Knitting For Winter.

Perfect Winter weather for knitting!
I do enjoy making smaller knitted items as they come together so quickly.
This is made with a yarn from New Zealand (Crucci) – 8 ply and pure wool. It is so soft and is machine washable.
The pink and cream works well together.
I am making steady progress on the McKenna Ryan quilt blocks. The birds are nearly finished – beaks, eyes and claws to be done still.
It is hard to distinguish the two separate birds on the left just yet, but it will make more sense when the smaller features are added.
I think I am past the halfway mark with these blocks, now.
Okay, this is a short and sweet post today.
Have a great week.
Cheers, Karen
Two such ambitious projects! Sweet, sweet sweater! And those birds! Marvelous!
I could not love this little sweater more! The colors and that little slip of a line on the cuffs and waist are perfection. You have such talent, Karen.
As does McKenna Ryan! :)
Hello Karen,
Love that knitted jumper. so glad you used wool. So often I see children’s jumpers for sale and they are not wool. I think if you take the time to knit something use wool. Good luck with your quilt, it is stunning.
Happy days.
Bev.
The sweater is beautiful! How you inspire me with your many and varied projects! Thank you for sharing so sweetly. Really liking how the McKenna Ryan piece is coming along, too!
That little sweater looks so soft and snuggly–very cute! I don’t think I’ve seen this McKenna Ryan design before, but what you’ve done is beautiful so far!Looks like a fun project.
Your knitting is so even and I love that colour combo….. so much detail in the MR pictures – so lovely….

I love McKenna Ryan quilts but am too scared to try to make one.
It looks great and the jumper is so cute.
Hi Karen lovely work my friend ,love the jumper,i am a very slow knitter, lol. Wow your McKenna block is looking awesome ,well done xx
Love the jumper, it’s so pretty. Gorgeous block. Hugs,xx
Such a pretty little baby jumper. Is it for anyone in particular or perhaps for your granny box for future arrivals? Your parrot quilt will be stunning. I’ve never done one of her patterns, they look very time consuming.
What a beautiful little sweater! I crochet rather than knit, and I love to make simple little baby afghans while travelling. Have fun with ryan McKenna. A little too detailed for my tastes, but so beautiful!!
You do have a gift for knitting. I only wish my stitches looked that good! I’m excited to your McKenna Ryan blocks come together. They are beautiful and have so much detail.
