Some Bunnies.

The final embroidery stitches have gone into the woollen blanket and the little 3D bunnies have been added. All that is left now is the backing and the satin binding.
This embroidery is from one of the very early Inspirations magazines (Issue 40). I have used pure wool blanketing from Country Bumpkin and I have used a mixture of threads, but mostly silks. This should keep some fingers and toes very warm this Winter.
I have also enjoyed working on one of Gail Pan’s sweet little Christmas stitcheries ( love her designs!). And for the first time I have used Aurifil thread. I thoroughly enjoyed stitching with it.
I have also purchased a few different threads for embroidery and love the colour ways.
These are from Cottage Garden Threads. The name, Peacock, is perfect for these colours.
DMC have a lovely line of variegated threads available in gorgeous colours, too. I couldn’t resist some of those.
Obviously, I have plenty of stitching ahead of me.
Happy May!
You have been a busy stitcher! Everything is lovely, Karen!
The embroideries are stunning, and I love the bunnies!
Such precious little bunnies. What a great gift for those cold toes! And those Peacock threads. Now they are to die for!! My favorite colors for sure!
:-)
Absolutely love your bunnies! Not seen Aurifil for stitching will look for that, I like Aurifil thread, I use it for piecing and quilting.
Those little bunnies are the cutest!!! Skeins of thread are so pretty. The peacock colours are really beautiful!!
Love that wool embroidery.. that is so pretty… great to read about some different threads.. I must have a look out for that Aurifil… I always thought it was machine thread …
HAPPY STITCHIN’…

Love the cutesy bunnies. Guessing it is for grand baby. Also love Gail’s stitcheries. What was the Aurifil like to stitch with? Curious minds want to know. Love the peacock colours. So is now when I ask about the Jacobean piece?
