Penny Rug.

I do like the ease of working with felt in penny rugs. The felt is so soft to work with and there are so many rich colours in the wool felt. I do most of my sewing by machine so I enjoy the change to handstitching with something as simple as this penny rug. This pattern is called Let It Snow and is by             Sew Unique Creations.

I have never worked with the wool felt before, but I always think the projects are so cute. I do want to do one. I love the buttonhole that’s used with it!

Oh so cute – does it snow at your house?

Very cute and festive. I too, love working with felt. I haven’t done too many projects, but the hand work was a nice change of pace for me.

  • I’ve been making needle books with a lot of the stitching by hand for markets next year (and I got orders for five from my friend Megan last night when I showed her!!), but I have been using felt from Lincraft which .. well .. could be better .. where do you get your felt from! and love this!
