Keeping On Finishing.

Having the time to quilt some flimsies is a wonderful thing. I have completed another quilt that has been waiting patiently for a few months.

It is a very simple design but it works so well with these lovely fabrics. I added a background fabric that is cream on white design.

Quilting stayed simple – meandering on the inside and straight lines on the borders.

It seems to work okay.

I had a lovely fabric for the backing that matched the colours perfectly and is a bit of fun, too.

Very cute birds.

I am keeping things quiet around here and am already quilting the next UFO.

I hope your week has started well.

Cheers, Karen.

  • How very pretty! Those are at least mostly Jill Gordon fabrics, aren’t they? I like her! This design was a good way to showcase those pretty prints.

  • It seems that I never have the perfect backing for a particular quilt–certainly nothing so fun as this bird pattern. I really like the simple blocks and quilting: they give the spotlight to those gorgeous fabrics! What a wonderful finish, Karen!

Great finish Karen! The backing matches the colours on the front perfectly! I wish I had a place like yours to hang and photograph quilts! I actually asked my husband to help me with my latest finish, but who knows when that will be…..
