A February Quilt Finish.

Posted on | February 6, 2018 | 19 Comments

Finally a quilt finish. It has taken me until February but it is done. Good to be getting back to finishing quilts.

It is a very simple design made up of half square triangles.

The same colours are paired up to make a rectangular block. They can be put together to make any sized quilt. I think it would be lovely in a baby quilt. I followed a tutorial from MSQC.

The backing is a sweet bird design from Amy Bradley.

Here’s a closer look.

And then I found a stripe to use for the binding that had many of the colours found in the blocks.

I started off with straight line quilting to focus on the diamond shapes.

And then I added bubble quilting in every second horizontal row. Next, I bubble quilted all of the borders as well.

There are a couple more quilts sandwiched and waiting for quilting so it is good to have started up again.

And this one was an easy way to get motivated.

Have a great week.

Cheers, Karen
