Catching Up On UFOs.

Posted on | November 6, 2013 | 11 Comments

I made a bit of an effort to collect together a handful of items that needed only a small amount of work to finish them off.

I have a habit of finishing the stitchery part of a project but not following up to complete it.

So here are two mini hangings completed.

Cats - Sunburnt Quilts

Faces - Sunburnt Quilts

The sad part is that I started these so many years ago I can’t identify either pattern.

And they only took a VERY short time to complete.

I do need to change my ways!

Your stitcheries are lovely. Well done on finishing them off! I’m sure we all have a few projects sitting in the cupboard awaiting a finishing touch. I know I do…..

  • Well, they are both very pretty! And a finish is always good, isn’t it?

It’s a lovely feeling to finish projects when they only have a bit of work to do on them…you feel like you’ve accomplished so much!! lol. They are lovely projects by the way.
    Cheers, Anita.

I know that feeling! Now that I am cleaning out I have a bunch of UFOs that I will be finishing. Maybe 1 per month?

Doesn’t it make you feel good to get something like that finished!!! Congratulations!

  • Joan says:

It’s it fun to finish up things you can barely remember! LOL! Did you use water color pencils, or something like that on the bottom one? That is really cute.

Great stitcheries! Isn’t it wonderful to be able to find a project that is so close to being finished! Well done!

  • Sunnybec says:

LOL now you make me feel guilty, I better go and look through my box and see what I need to finish! Love both of yours. Hugs xxx

Your sticheries are so cute! Isn’t it funny that we put off those last few steps that would finish a project. It’s a great when you finally do because they feel like extra quick projects. The second one looks as though you’ve coloured it in with water colour fabric paint.

those are both really sweet hangings so it’s wonderful they got finished… i think we all have those ‘need just a little bit to finish’ projects…
