A Red And Grey Finish.

Our house is very empty and quiet as the holiday has ended and family have returned home. There is lots to do but some sewing has been squeezed in as well.
This quilt was away at the LAQ and I was able to pick it up a couple of weeks ago. I have spent a few days finishing the binding.
The fabric range is Holiday Frost and the pattern is from Leanne Beasley’s book, Romancing The Road Trip.
It is a lovely fabric range and the simplicity of these blocks suited the design.
I used a simple backing and red for the binding.
This pattern works well for show-casing fabrics and I can see myself using this one again.
I am going to enjoy the sunshine today and then tomorrow I will joining in with a stitching gathering at Candleberry Country in Yarragon.
I hope you have a lovely weekend planned.
Karen, this quilt is gorgeous! Love how the pattern lets each pretty fabric shine! Well done!
This quilt is so pretty. I love the fabric you chose. Lovely!
Holiday Frost is such a stylish Christmas range. The cool grey will be refreshing for Australia’s warm Christmas. I agree that pattern is great for showcasing favourite fabrics. I bet you miss your family.
Karen, it’s just a lovely quilt! The red and grey are a great match, and the quilting is perfect for it. Congrats on a great finish!
The fabrics are lovely and I agree that the pattern really shows them off well. Beautiful quilt!!!
just lovely…. I agree that sometimes the simple designs are just what you need to show off lovely fabrics… I do like red grey and white together…

Ohhhh soooo pretty. I love the fabrics, no wonder you can see using them again. The backing is very cool too. You have green grass??? I thought there was snow there?
I love the red and grey together! Great finish.
That turned out great, Karen. I have a bundle of that fabric sitting in fron of me right now. Hmmm….
