A Tree With A Twist.

Over the last two weeks I have been able to attend a class to make this special Christmas tree. It is constructed in similar fashion to an Etui box.
So it starts off looking like this.
Then the little cap comes off allowing the sides to open and reveal the centre.
The little box in the centre can also be removed.
The idea is to fill the centre box with little goodies like trinkets or chocolates.
The workshop was spread over 2 days with homework in between. I had a great time with a lovely group of ladies. We all went home at the end of the day with our trees completed. That’s a good feeling.
It’s just too cute! Such a great idea! Love it!
Karen,
I love your tree. I think it’s great you got to take home the tree finished. Wonderful!!
Wow, great idea and looks terrific!
Cheers,
Robyn
What a clever idea. Is there anywhere I can get a pattern? It would be fun to make one for my friends in “the sewing sisters” for Christmas.
This is a really fantastic idea. A few of these would make a lovely Christmas display and when the presents were opened the trees would still be there. We don’t seem to have classes for this sort of thing. If we do I never see them.
Hi Karen,
Just love your tree, it is perfect.
Have a great weekend.
