A Sheep Or Three.

This is the last bit of show and tell from the baby collection.
As well as a quilt, I make each grand baby an embroidered woollen blanket.
This time I made one based on the nursery rhyme, Baa Baa Black Sheep.
The design comes from an early copy of Inspirations magazine.
The sheep are made using hundreds of french knots using a combination of 8 ply wool and embroidery floss.
And then all the little flowers are added using wool embroidery threads.
The fabric backing turns over to the front to form the border.
This one should be very warm and snugly.
Cheers, Karen

Oh. My. Word. Never in my life………..
How cute is that! The french knots piled on top of each other. I embroidered topiaries once using a lot of french knots. They were cute, but this is amazing! What a treasure
Absolutely gorgeous! I’m sure this quilt will become the favorite!
Gorgeous and way over the top with the French knots! Of course the dimension and texture are something to dream about. Love that you chose sheep for your wool blanket.
Did you really make ALL those French knots?! WOW! That’s some accomplishment! Very cute and snuggly!
