Small Steps.

Work is continuing on UFOs but in small steps. The kangaroos are stitched down and ready for their day at the beach. There are lots of embellishments to go on this block, but not until after quilting. Should have ironed it, too.
I was also able to complete another block and add the hexies for the FigNBerry project.
With the restrictions easing we decided to take a drive around our area. It is quite surprising how much has been going on in the couple of months of lock down – lots of construction. If we can get a fine day a picnic may be the next plan. It is good to be able to venture out safely now – with care!
Cheers, Karen
Very cute kangaroos on the beach, your pic made me smile this morning!
Two delightful UFOs to work on! Glad you were able to get out and about a little bit. Stay safe!
Oh, one of my favorites, the kangaroos! They look even cuter on the beach. I can’t wait to see this one completed. I don’t know what it is, the whimsy I suppose, but those kangaroos are absolutely fun!
We are about to go into “phase 2” which means fewer restrictions. Everyone I know who was working still is. They are the ones who are really talking about how strange it is…no traffic, no lines in stores, no customers (businesses are using computers) etc. I still just want to stay home. Enjoy your next outing.
It’s good to hear other places are starting to open up too – it’s a good sign. The Kangaroos look like they’re going to have a great day at the beach! Your Fig n Berry blocks are lovely – one of the girls at work has done hers, in french generals, and it’s nice seeing the different fabrics you are using.
I love the kangaroos even more now!!! The beach houses are such a cute background to them. And, your embroidery is amazing…this piece looks so intricate.
I have never seen these adorable kangaroos before. I am sure they will make a darling quilt. Stay safe, Karen.
Love the beachy roos! The hexie block is so pretty too. A picnic is so nice…a favourite of mine xx
Those kangas are so cute–they just make me smile! We live near a resort, and it was crazy this weekend with people everywhere. I’m a little worried!
Good progress, Karen! Those projects are both so creative!
We are planning a picnic for tomorrow, it’s a fun idea for a safe outing.
Beautiful work, as you always do! It certainly feels strange getting out and about again doesn’t it. We met 2 couples for lunch at a cafe last week, and I wasn’t at all keen to see so many people after being home for so long. Luckily the tables were well spaced out.
LoVe-LOVE-love the kangaroo block…so cute.
And yes it will be nice to venture out with a little more certainty. Stay safe…xox
Those kangaroos have so much personality already. Cannot wait to see them after you’ve finished working your magic!
I think we’re all tired of being on house arrest! I’d really like to get our lives back to normal.

Those surfing kangaroos are too much! Love them.
