The blocks for this quilt were made back in 2011. I finished a larger quilt with these blocks in 2012.

I put a lot of the leftover blocks aside until later that year, then turned them into a smaller quilt top.

And that’s the way it stayed until this month. It was one of my UFO collection. It has now seen the light of day again and has been backed, quilted and bound. At last.

This version has ended up at 52 X 52 inches.

The design is called Country Garden Maze and was from the Irish Quit and Craft Magazine.

I still have the first one, so this one can be a donation. The interlocking blocks were made using a jelly roll plus some blue yardage. Quilting is a simple meander.

Backing was a piece from my stash, as was a suitable blue for the binding.

Great to see another UFO bite the dust!

I managed to get enough granny squares crocheted to make a small knee rug. Some colours ran out during rounds, but it is supposed to be scrappy, so I just joined in another color. The yarns are all leftovers from various Attic 24 blankets.

I took the same approach with the border and added in colours as others ran out.

A great way to use yarn left overs.

It has been a good week catching up with friends and family. And Easter is only a week away.

Enjoy your weekend. Cheers, Karen
