Catching Up Continues.

I have found a few more projects to work on. They have been waiting for a little while, so deserve some time, now.
This is a wool project that had been completed and was waiting for quilting and binding. Considering it only measures 22 by 28 inches, it seems silly that I have waited so long to complete it.

Wool applique and perle 8 thread to complete top.

In between stitching, I went to a high tea at Ripponlea with a group of friends.
Ripponlea is a National Trust property in Melbourne.

High Tea was delicious. I nearly forgot to take a pic as we had started eating the sandwiches on the bottom plate.

High Tea was held in the ballroom. It is a stunning building.

Back to stitching. I have several of the Birdhouse designs. I have two totally completed. Then two more that have been stitched and ready to quilt and bind. These are the snowmen and the penguins.

I have used variegated thread in each of them from Cottage Garden Threads.
I have one more to complete the stitching,( the Santa and reindeer panel), then I will finish off all three.
To finish up this post I have a trip down memory lane. We have been doing a huge cull throughout our home and making a few discoveries along the way. These items have been in storage boxes and are around fifty years old. Some of them will be heading for a vintage clothing store.
Do you remember toe socks? These were baby size for our children. Obviously very well worn.

I thought these jeans were the height of fashion in my teens.

And this top was once paired with hot pants.

Can’t believe I used to wear hot pants!
Okay, we have a lovely weekend of sunshine ahead of us. Lots of choices for what to do.
Cheers, Karen
