A Little Bit Of Shopping.

I had a quick trip to Spotlight yesterday for a small number of purchases, and left with a smile after discovering a little discount, which I thought I must pass on. Spotlight has its own magazine, Get Creative, which costs 99c. On the back there is a $10 discount coupon on sales over $20.
So I bought this gorgeous little book of knitted animals. Normal price $23.99, but my price with the discount was $13.99. Don’t you love it when that happens!
The mag comes out every 2 weeks and there is another discount in the next one. You need to be a VIP member and only one voucher per member each fortnight.
And thanks to Anita for telling about this sweet little book.
My other retail therapy of late was during a trip to Intercourse in the Amish area of Lancaster, just out of Philadelphia. These are only a few of the stores I managed to visit with a friend.
And this is the treasure that came home with me.
Some lovely goodies at prices between $2 and $8 per yard. Music to ears of an Aussie who usually pays over $20 per metre.
You lucky girl. I would love to visit the Amish country and fabric shop. It’s on my list of things to do! I would say you definately “scored” big time with the prices you have to pay in Australia. I complain here all the time, but I realize that we have things so good here! Now I must say, I love the little guys you are knitting for your grands. How fun are they!
I’m glad you had a good time, and found some treasures!
Great way to build up the books …. so glad you found some fun purchases on your trip…. the price difference is amazing isn’t it?

You just have to love a bargain!! Thanks for the Spotlight tip. The little zebra is very cute! Your trip to Lancaster must have been wonderful. Fun fabric purchases!
Lovely goodies, those prices are music to my British (and French!) ears too!!
That’s a bargain! I love it when I can purchase fabric from web shops on sales, since I don’t get quilting fabrics here. Lovely fabrics you have bought… wonder what you will make… ? :)
Nice finds! I have never been to PA Amish Country. It would be fun to visit these places.
My oh my, I wish I had been on that road trip with you…those shops look like they would have been so wonderful to step into! So happy you found some treasures! Now, what is your next project?
