Monkey Business.

There is not  lot of quilting happening here – probably due to the hot and humid weather we are having late into the season.

But I have been working with some smaller items.

The first finish is a table runner from Bird Brain Designs made in wool felt.

It is quite long and will easily suit  a dining table or sideboard.

Yes, I did spot the pin well after the photo was taken.

And the monkey reference in the title refers to these little guys.  I have quite a few friends who are about to become grandmothers, so these are ready for when the babies arrive.

They are a Twins knitting pattern.

We have a long weekend coming up and it has been forecast that we will get a change and finally start to experience some Autumn weather. Hope so.

Regardless of the weather, I hope your week is going well.

Cheers, Karen

Every time I see your wool work, I think about the one I started many years ago… I really need to get it out some time! :-) Oh those monkeys, how fun are they? I have one that a friend in Alaska made for me. Actually I always threatened to steal her kids, so she made me my own! LOL!!

What a cute runner. And the monkeys!

  • Anita says:

Oh your projects are so yum Karen! The dark edging around the finished work really makes it pop. Those little monkeys are the sweetest. Talking about the weather, we are on our way to 40C today. What’s happened to autumn? lol
    Cheers, Anita.

Oh both projects are adorable!! What cute wee monkeys and I just love the runner!

  • Mary says:

Should I assume that you knitted the monkeys? I originally thought that they’re sock monkeys on a smaller, cuter scale. How many needles can you handle? Seems like quite a few and all handled so well!

Your wool runner has me smiling. That one happy little snowman! A wool snowman…how ironic is that!?!
