A Finished Blanket.

This is another of my projects that was so close to a finish and was then put away due to distractions of my own making. I had made the large mandalas and had pieced them together, but knew I had to make smaller sections to fill the gaps.
It took me a while to play with the small pieces as I worked out which colour combo worked best. Once that was done I was able to complete the crochet and sew them together. I think it is about 40 inches square.
It has been made from 8 ply cotton from Bendigo Woollen Mills.
I would like to use it as a bed topper with a simple white spread under it.
The needles have also been busy making a couple more of these. They are gifts for more babies. Lots of friends are having grandies arrive.
I was also able to spend some time with friends getting a few cards made. Something I haven’t been doing lately. It was good to get motivated and get back into it.
It is still very cold but there was some sunshine today, so that is a bonus.
Happy to stay inside and warm.
Cheers, Karen

Your mandala afghan is just gorgeous and those knit stuffies are going to be so loved by the new little’s coming into the world. I don’t have any idea where you find the time to make those lovely cards on top of everything else. You’re my wonder woman inspiration!
What cute finishes!!! Love your colorful afghan!!! Did you sew all those points together, or catch them with a sc as you did the final round? Cute stuffies-looks complicate! And great cards!
