Final Round.

I have been able to add the final round of blocks to my Califon quilt. It is definitely time to stop as it has reached 70 inches in size. I think when I started I was only planning a lap sized quilt, but then it took on a life of its own. Unfortunately it will now have to sit on the back burner waiting to be sandwiched and quilted as there are several other priorities to be dealt with first. But its time will come.
I am very pleased with how much fabric I have used from my stash! It is interesting to see the progression.
Thank you for stopping by my blog the other day. I am returning the favour and I’m so glad I did. Your work is gorgeous! This Califon quilt is superb, I particularly like your use of the graphic ‘snowflake’ fabric and the way it just pops. Well done. Your embroidery is also stunning. I look forward to following your progress, especially on the red and white Drunkard’s path. Fabulous!
Wow you went to town on this project. Looks great and should be really fun to quilt!
Hi Karen,
Love the freshness of the colours. It is great to make a quilt out of the stash.
Happy days.

This is a fabulous quilt. Well done.
What a sunny looking quilt top!
I love the colors and how it turned out. I may need to try a similar idea to use up some of my many scraps!!!!
It’s lovely… and has confirmed that a disappearing 9 patch is something I want to do….
