Snow Hearts.

Posted on | January 29, 2018 | 15 Comments

A year or two back, Bunny Hill Designs had free patterns for some heart decorations. I was not able to make them at the time but after a chat with Shez we decided to stitch along together and make one each month as per the original follow along. Thanks Shez, for keeping me on track.

I ended up making two of them for January as I couldn’t make up my mind as to which way to go.

I made the first one totally in felt and added a snowflake.

I also wanted to make one on a fabric background  with felt applique.

These are so easy to make. Shez has taken another approach to making hers as well. It looks gorgeous. Go for a visit.

We are hoping to keep each other on track each month so we will have a lovely collection at the end of the year. Maybe others will be inspired to stitch along, too.

It has been very hot here and we all feel like we are melting. There is a cool change coming through this afternoon and it will be very welcome.

Regardless of the heat, these sunflowers in the garden always make me smile.

Cheers, Karen

Working on snowmen while it’s been so hot hopefully has made you feel a bit cooler. They turned out super cute.

Oh…I downloaded those cuties myself. I guess I should join in on your Quilt Along too! LOL!!

That sunflower is gorgeous. If it’s that nice, you know your snowmen would be just a puddle if not completely evaporated! hahahahaha

  • They are the cutest fellows….love both of them. Can’t wait to see yours and Shezs snowy collection….gorgeous blooms xx

Good luck with your cute little snowmen! I started that project a couple of years ago, too, but I was involved in too many things, and something had to give. Unfortunately, I only made two snowmen, and I don’t know what ever happened to them. Thanks for the pretty sunflower.

Thankfully, the day has been a bit cooler with the cloud cover here in Melbourne, but still warm enough to melt a snowman! Yours are very cute Karen! Felt is such a great medium to work with, isn’t it?
