Happy New Half Year.

Posted on | July 1, 2015 | 18 Comments

July already and half a year gone. How about that!

Along with finishing off some UFOs, I have also been pulling out some kits that have waited patiently for several years.

This is only a little finish but it has been a delightful project to work on.

Sunburnt Quilts 2015 - Snow Lady

She is a sweet Snow-lady from the Winter Banners pattern by Lily Anna Stitches.

The banner is all made in lovely wools.

I have really enjoyed working with the wool applique and have more planned.

Hope your week is going well.

Cheers, Karen

Your Snow-Lady is adorable! Your work is always so neat and tidy! I always laugh at how you are in your winter, and here in Nova Scotia, the morning is finally warm enough for me to have my morning coffee on the deck! Enjoy your day, no matter what the temperature!

Happy Half New Year to you too!!!! I really cant believe that 2015 is half-way over!!! I love your little snowman. Congratulations on the finish!!

I can’t imagine working with wool in July! It’s only about 100 degrees here right now, so wool is truly a winter fabric. The snow lady is really detailed. You said it’s “a little finish” but I disagree…it’s a detailed finish! Love the sprigs in her basket!

    Love your snowlady! So cute!
I also saw your disappearing pinwheel blocks in an earlier post. I’ve made one quilt that I finished earlier this year. I loved making the blocks and I’d love to make another one. Great way to use up scraps.
