Tricky Colours.

Sometimes the camera and the colours just do not want to work together. So the colours in these pictures look very washed out. Time to use your imagination.

Sunburnt Quilts 2015 - Snowies (2)

This quilt is from a pattern by Lisa Cantley of Fig’N’Berry Creations and is called The Snowmen are Gathering.

I have shown the individual stitcheries in previous posts.

The stitching is done with Cottage Garden Thread called Cobblestones.

Simple meandering in the quilting.

And the leftover fabrics as the backing to finish it off.

A small lap quilt now added to the completed list. Hooray.

Cheers, Karen

Great to see these sweet stitcheries all set! The colors are beautiful, & a quilt you can use a bit longer than just Christmas:-)

My camera can’t sit still long enough to snap an un-blurry pic. I have no notion about colors in pictures. Strangely, I can see colors just fine in fabrics, but colors in anything else eludes me. Thank goodness fabric colors are cooperative!

Your quilt is perfect! I can imagine snuggling under this sweet quilt on a cold winter day with a book and a cup of hot cocoa and being perfectly happy! Ohh, Christmas stories with this one. Yes, absolutely perfect!

    Hello Karen,

Well done on your beautifully quilted quilt. Amazing that with all the buttons on our camera’s I still think the ones that we used the film in took actual colours so much clearer.
    Have a great week.
    Bev.

Oh Karen, this quilt is Sooo cute!! I love that you’ve used snowman fabric with your fun stitcheries. Are you keeping this one or is it a gift for your grandchildren?

  • Don’t you hate it when that happens! I tried last night over and over again to get the turquoise to show up and it just refused. Fortunately it behaved outside in the daylight today! Really pretty quilt. My imagination has saturated those colors!
