Sunburnt Quilts

Quilts, Patchwork & Embroidery

Bits And Pieces.

It’s a bit chilly out, so a good day for inside activities.

I have managed to pin this quilt sandwich.

Some more cards have been added to the stash.

And I have been able to purchase this book – 501 Quilting Motifs. I have so much to learn about free motion quilting and one of the hardest things for me is selecting an appropriate pattern to use.  This book is set out beautifully with suggestions and pattern variations, so now I need to read and practise!

Here’s and example of how each page looks.

Wow I love the quilt with the butterfies and flowers. You have been a very busy girl. I am looking forward to getting back to my stitching and crafting soon too!

Hi Karen, like what I can see of your quilt. I also like the look of that book, I am just the same I have finished piecing a wall hanging and just can’t decide how to quilt it – I will be watching with interest to see how you get on with this book…It’s another beautiful day here in France, perfect drying day for all my washing LOL.

Lovely cards. The one colour shades look really good. The quilt looks great. Are you going to try something from the book on it?
