Another Two.

Our cold weather is a perfect time for knitting. I am surprised at being able to leave my quilting but the knitting needles have called.

Here is the next addition to the possum scarf collection.

It looks very warm and snuggly.

And the last one.

I think this one is a tiger possum.

I am reminded of a can of worms when I see them together.

Sunburnt Quilts 2016 - Possum Scarves (4)

Last week we had quite a severe storm go through. It brought snow to many areas which only get it on rare occasions. We also had strong wind and heavy hail.

The tree in the photo below was well and truly hit by the storm. The day before it was still totally covered in leaves.

Sunburnt Quilts 2016 - Trees1)

After the hail is was stripped of leaves on three quarters of the branches. You can see the branches on the left that still have full green leaf cover. That section was protected by the house. It does look very odd now. And it looks like a bit of garden work is needed.

I do hope your week is going well.

Cheers, Karen

Your scarves are so cute, do you wear one or are they made for your grandchildren? The weather is never dull these days. I glad you’re okay from the storm. Poor old tree though, I hope it recovers in Spring.

  • Oh they are soooo cute! Definitely got chilly down your way…stay cosy x

What cute little scarves! I don’t know how you make those curly tails, but they definitely finish the possums. I want one curled around my neck! (Not right now in this heat, but later maybe:-) Too bad about the hail…it can damage homes, cars, fields, etc.

haha… a whole family of possums at your house! so sweet. Hail can be so destructive…

  • Your possum scarves are so cute! Poor naked tree. :-(

Love your can of worms. They are so stinkin cute all together. Winter arrived with a bang there. It’s heartbreaking to see trees damaged. It takes so long for them to grow. Keep warm!

Your scarves are adorable! I’m glad there was no serious damage from the storm.

Your scarf collection is certainly growing! They look like they are snuggling together trying to stay warm Karen.

Very cute!! Those little possums have sooo much personality! I hope the weather settles down to ‘normal’ winter weather!

Those scarves are just adorable Karen!! They would be great for young and old I reckon. The little faces are so cute. Horrible to see what the storm has done and just imagine if that tree wasn’t there! It certainly is amazing how quickly a storm can change the landscape. Hope all is good now.

    Hello Karen,

Such cute possums, they look like they are having a sleep. Think of all that mulch from the leaves. Nature will take care of your tree.

    Happy knitting.
    Bev.
