Friday’s Colours of Christmas.

Posted on | December 10, 2010 | 14 Comments

This is our last Colourful Friday for this year. I have difficulty choosing the colours I think represent Christmas. I do love the traditional red and green, but I also love the gorgeous colours we are seeing in the new Christmas fabrics. So maybe there is a rainbow of colours for Christmas, too! To illustrate my rainbow I have selected some of my favourite Christmas ornaments and you will see all the colours I love.

Visit Robyn over at Daisy Quilts to have some fun with all the Christmas Colours for this year.

I think it will be evident from these pictures that I adore Jim Shore/Heartwood Creek decorations.

I added this train to the collection a couple of years back.

I started off with the sleigh about 10 years ago and gradually added the reindeer as I found them.

The Santas were the start of the collection.

This snowie came home in my case about 4 years ago after a trip to PA.

This gorgeous box has 3 small Santas inside.

And then there are a few little decorations.

So, as you can see, the decorations are traditional but they have all the colours of the rainbow.

I want to give a big thank you to Robyn for being such a wonderful host of Colourful Fridays and look forward to starting up again next year.

And thanks again to Bev for helping out in Robyn’s absence.

And just to finish off, here are the newest additions for this year. I wonder if they are singing Christmas Carols for Robyn!

Just a little Aussie humour to finish off the Christmas colours post!!!

Maybe they are singing the Aussie Twelve Days of Christmas or does the goanna prefer Jingle Bell Rock?
