Robyn has sent us all off to hunt for leaves for this Colourful Friday. Check Daisy Quilts to see what everyone has found. During Easter I found two rabbits hiding in amongst the pumpkin leaves. Recent Autumn leaves. Some quilty leaves from a quilt made a long time ago. Can’t go without finding a koala [...]
I seem to be having a bits and pieces week. Nothing seems to be getting finished but then, other bits are progressing. That’s fine. I have started a very simple table runner/centre using one of Saffron Craig’s designs, Day Owl. I am steadily completing the blocks for Tis The Season. Only 2 left to go. [...]
I want to send a very big thank you to Madame Samm from Sew We Quilt @ Stash Manicure for the lovely gift that arrived on my doorstep. I was the lucky winner of the wonderful July 4th give away. I was thrilled when I opened the parcel. In keeping with the July 4th theme [...]
I have finally finished making 174 drunkard’s path blocks!! I can now start to make the borders for my big red quilt. This is the first border put together so I took a photo to get a true idea of how it looks. Shouldn’t take me long to put the rest together.

The pile is steadily growing. I now have 112 blocks for the drunkard’s path border. Only 64 to go!
It is always lovely when the last stitch goes into the binding and a quilt is finished. This is the mystery quilt I did in a workshop back in January. I managed to have a few moments outside with the camera when the wind eased off, just before the rain bucketed down. It has ended [...]
I have spent quite a few days concentrating on quilting my mystery quilt. Last night the binding went on and hopefully today I will be able to complete the hand sewing on that. Unfortunately it is extremely windy here today so no real chance of an outside photo of the whole quilt just yet.
Last week I had the opportunity to join in a day with a stitching group at The Patchwork Tea House. We were truly spoilt with morning and afternoon tea and lunch. While it was cold and windy outside we were as warm as toast inside. We were able to select the project we wanted to [...]
Another day for a Teddy Bear’s picnic with Melody at The House On The Side Of The Hill. These two bears are made from plush felt. It’s the only way to be if you are outside today. At least the cyclamen is flowering! Keep your skis handy – the forecast is for snow quite low [...]keep looking »
